Group Pre-registration
New Procedure for Groups with over 5 entries attending BOK Orienteering Events

We love to have groups attending our events, and we would like to make the registration and results reporting proceed more smoothly and accurately, so we would like to try the following pre-registration procedure...

First, download and print our entry form so you can fill it out in advance.  You will need one entry for each person or "team" that goes out together.  We discourage having more than 3 people in a "team".  Each person on the team must have a whistle, and we highly recommend a map for each person (otherwise they are just along for the walk, and won't learn much orienteering).  Each team must have only one finger stick.  To calculate your fees: 

Thus a three person team where only 1 person has a whistle would cost $16. ($5 entry + $5 finger stick + two additional maps $2 + $2 + two whistles $1+ $1 = $16)

Next, create an entry list.  By the Thursday before the event please email with the names on each of the entries just the way you want them to show up in the results.  (You may send a spreadsheet if you wish.)

Each entry person or team should be by itself on a separate line.  

Entries for five hypothetical teams, with teams named either for team members or a chosen team name, might look like this:

Mike Smith
Bob Scott, Ralph Bean, Judy Call
Doug Palson
Scout pack 999 Team Beta
Scout pack 999 Team Alpha

Finally figure out how many maps of each course you will need, and include that with your email

We will send you the list back with the finger stick assignments that you can put on your entry forms.  (If you don't get the stick assignments back don't worry about it, we'll give them to you at the event.

This will hopefully make the registration process and results reporting go much smoother.

If you purchase sticks you won't have to rent them, and they can be personalized with team names.

If you purchase a membership, an individual membership entitles your group to one free entry, a family membership receives two free entries per event.
