2/22/99 - Phase 3, the final phase of the planting along Western Boulevard, should take place this spring. We are recommending that more trees be planted along the greenways so they will be shaded in the summer. The association will vote on this proposal on February 23, 1999.
10/20/97 - This Saturday, October 25th they expect to change the traffic pattern so that Cabarrus is closed off and both directions of travel use the inbound side of the new Western Blvd. and then turn onto Boylan Avenue. This will last about a month until the project is completely open.
2/11/97 - The current schedule calls for closing the connection between Cabarrus Street and Western Boulevard in May 1997 and routing all the Western Boulevard traffic on the Eastbound lane of the new road between the railroad tressel and Boylan Avenue. This detour along Boylan Avenue will last until the road opens, which is still scheduled for October 1997
